Football legend Diego Maradona has been notified by Italian tax officials that they are taking steps to freeze his assets in Italy in order to collect on his massive tax debts. Maradona, dubbed "El Pibe de Oro" or "the Golden Boy" by his legions of fans, is said to owe nearly $53 million.
